Auction result well in line with expectations

Lecourt was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,424.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. Lecourt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Caroline Murat, Née Bonaparte (1782-1839), which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,391.73).
