Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Antes De La Corrida (Before The Bullfight) by Jose de Chavez was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2010. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,974.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose de Chavez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garrochistas: herding the cattle, which sold at auction in October 2008 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Antes De La Corrida (Before The Bullfight) von Jose de Chavez kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.974,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose de Chavez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garrochistas: herding the cattle beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
