In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Lost In Tiananmen by J. Ariadhitya Pramuhendra. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 32,588.89), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. Ariadhitya Pramuhendra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Holy Mass, which sold at auction in October 2010 for HKD 884,000.00 (€ 82,075.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lost In Tiananmen von J. Ariadhitya Pramuhendra zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 32.588,89) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von J. Ariadhitya Pramuhendra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Holy Mass beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für HKD 884.000,00 (€ 82.075,72) versteigert wurde.
