Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Vessels in a harbour, sunset; and Vessels at low-tide by J. Anderson for GBP 204.00 (€ 295.90). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by J. Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lost in thought in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,585.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Vessels in a harbour, sunset; and Vessels at low-tide von J. Anderson für GBP 204,00 (€ 295,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von J. Anderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lost in thought im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.585,88).
