Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A gurnard and two mackerel on a rock, with seaweed to the side by J. Anderson was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 966.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. Anderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lost in thought, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,585.88).

Die Arbeit A gurnard and two mackerel on a rock, with seaweed to the side von J. Anderson kam im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 966,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von J. Anderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lost in thought beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.585,88) versteigert wurde.
