Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Moonlit Street by Ivan Avgustovich Veltz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,692.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Avgustovich Veltz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2014 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 70,721.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moonlit Street von Ivan Avgustovich Veltz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.692,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Avgustovich Veltz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2014 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 70.721,78) versteigert wurde.
