Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Iván Argote achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2020. In the Contemporary Art Online | London auction, the work Touristas sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,065.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Iván Argote; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot All My Girlfriends sold at auction in March 2019 with the realized price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,606.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Iván Argote erzielte im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | London wurde die Arbeit Touristas für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.065,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Iván Argote; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit All My Girlfriends im März 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.606,70).
