Edo period (1615-1868), circa late 1770s and 1780s
Two chuban tate-e prints: one of Chikuzen Hakata kihan (Returning Sails at Hakata, Chikuzen Province) from the series Honcho Minato Hakkei (Eight Views of Harbours in Japan), signed Koryu ga, 25.2cm x 18.5cm (9 15/16in x 7¼in); the second untitled, depicting a family playing with mari balls, signed Koryusai ga with an unidentified collector's seal on recto, 25.7cm x 18.6cm (10 1/8in x 7 5/16in); both mounted on card.
