Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Devil, Étaples by Isobel Rae was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2010. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,048.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isobel Rae - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harbour at Night, 1896, which sold at auction in November last year for AUD 18,450.00 (€ 12,005.10).

Die Arbeit A Devil, Étaples von Isobel Rae kam im September 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.048,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Isobel Rae mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harbour at Night, 1896 beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für AUD 18.450,00 (€ 12.005,10) versteigert wurde.
