Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Batman, Myllypuro, Helsinki, 1967 by Ismo Hölttö was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,569.28). Other works by Ismo Hölttö have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2008 by the work Girl with pigtails, Kontula, Helsinki, 1967 at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,627.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Batman, Myllypuro, Helsinki, 1967 von Ismo Hölttö im November 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.569,28) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Ismo Hölttö wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2008 die Arbeit Girl with pigtails, Kontula, Helsinki, 1967 mit GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.627,23).
