Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish still Life by Ismael de la Serna was sold in the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,882.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ismael de la Serna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nature morte aux instruments de musique, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 38,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spanish still Life von Ismael de la Serna wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.882,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ismael de la Serna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nature morte aux instruments de musique beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für EUR 38.400,00 versteigert wurde.
