Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Art, which included the work Portrait of a young Hasidic Jew by Isidor Kaufmann. The price achieved of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,975.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isidor Kaufmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Boy in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 448,470.71).
