Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Hungarian Portrait Of A Young Boy With Peyot by Isidor Kaufmann. The price achieved of USD 122,500.00 (€ 96,593.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isidor Kaufmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Boy in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 448,470.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hungarian Portrait Of A Young Boy With Peyot von Isidor Kaufmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 96.593,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isidor Kaufmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 500.000,00 (€ 448.470,71).
