Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hungarian Portrait Of A Rabbi With Tallit by Isidor Kaufmann was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 158,500.00 (€ 124,980.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isidor Kaufmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Boy, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 500,000.00 (€ 448,470.71).

Die Arbeit Hungarian Portrait Of A Rabbi With Tallit von Isidor Kaufmann kam im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 124.980,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Isidor Kaufmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 500.000,00 (€ 448.470,71) versteigert wurde.
