Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Hungarian Portrait Of A Rabbi With Tallit by Isidor Kaufmann. It changed hands for a price of USD 289,000.00 (€ 185,637.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isidor Kaufmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Boy, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 500,000.00 (€ 448,470.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hungarian Portrait Of A Rabbi With Tallit von Isidor Kaufmann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 289.000,00 (€ 185.637,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Isidor Kaufmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 500.000,00 (€ 448.470,71) versteigert wurde.
