Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings, which included the work Hungarian Portrait Of A Man With Streimel by Isidor Kaufmann. The price achieved of USD 182,500.00 (€ 123,686.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isidor Kaufmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Boy, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 500,000.00 (€ 448,470.71).

Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hungarian Portrait Of A Man With Streimel von Isidor Kaufmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 123.686,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Isidor Kaufmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 500.000,00 (€ 448.470,71) versteigert wurde.
