Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Sea view with village by Isaac Willaerts. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,351.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isaac Willaerts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A coastal landscape with shipping and fishermen selling their catch, a fortified settlement on the cliffs beyond, which sold at auction in April 2006 for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 27,711.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea view with village von Isaac Willaerts zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.351,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Isaac Willaerts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A coastal landscape with shipping and fishermen selling their catch, a fortified settlement on the cliffs beyond beobachtet, die im April 2006 für GBP 19.200,00 (€ 27.711,03) versteigert wurde.
