The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,654.46), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isaac Walter Jenner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portsmouth, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,553.07).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.654,46) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Isaac Walter Jenner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portsmouth beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.553,07) versteigert wurde.
