Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Summer Landscape With A Horse And Cart And Other Figures On A Path by Isaac van Oosten. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 42,099.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac van Oosten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Late Renaissance Antwerp Ebony Veneered Cabinet, Circa 1645, With Village Landscapes And Scenes From Daily Life in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 437,000.00 (€ 323,703.70).
