Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Yellow Hat by Irma Stern was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 76,600.00 (€ 87,958.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irma Stern achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lelemana Dance in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,222,750.00 (€ 1,448,628.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Yellow Hat von Irma Stern kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 76.600,00 (€ 87.958,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irma Stern erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lelemana Dance im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.222.750,00 (€ 1.448.628,51).
