A top price for Irma Stern
In October 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Lelemana Dance by Irma Stern. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,222,750.00 (€ 1,448,628.51), 22% above the upper estimate. With this result, Lelemana Dance is even the most expensive work of art by Irma Stern that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lelemana Dance von Irma Stern zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.222.750,00 (€ 1.448.628,51) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Lelemana Dance sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Irma Stern, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
