This artwork by Imants Tillers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. In the CONTEMPORARY ART auction, the work Precinct (Vu 12) (No. 41697-41707) sold for AUD 22,325.00 (€ 12,820.40) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Imants Tillers; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Psychic (For Yves Klein) sold at auction in April 2001 with the realized price of AUD 44,650.00 (€ 25,640.79).
