Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work PLATE 7 by Igshaan Adams was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,963.23). Admittedly, works by Igshaan Adams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work For Those Who Know in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 75,108.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit PLATE 7 von Igshaan Adams im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.963,23) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igshaan Adams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For Those Who Know im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 75.108,58).
