Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work The Artist'S House And Studio In Abramtsevo by Igor Grabar. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,720.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Grabar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Summer Evening, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 169,250.00 (€ 197,582.04).
