Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Untitled, circa 1960 by Ibrahim el-Salahi. The price achieved of GBP 40,250.00 (€ 47,283.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Ibrahim el-Salahi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work The Tree was auctioned for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,733.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, circa 1960 von Ibrahim el-Salahi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.250,00 (€ 47.283,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim el-Salahi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit The Tree für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.733,73) versteigert.
