Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale, which included the work The Rise by Ibrahim el-Salahi. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,161.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ibrahim el-Salahi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Tree, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,733.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rise von Ibrahim el-Salahi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.161,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim el-Salahi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Tree beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.733,73) versteigert wurde.
