Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sudanese untitled by Ibrahim el-Salahi was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,505.76). Admittedly, works by Ibrahim el-Salahi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Tree in October last year with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,733.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sudanese untitled von Ibrahim el-Salahi wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.505,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ibrahim el-Salahi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Tree im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.733,73).
