Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ian Stephenson could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Eclipse, 1966-7 changed hands for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,218.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Ian Stephenson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2014 by the work Traces at GBP 20,625.00 (€ 25,931.32).
