Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Day Painting by Ian McKeever was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,570.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian McKeever - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hour Painting No 18, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,497.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Day Painting von Ian McKeever kam im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.570,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian McKeever mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hour Painting No 18 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.497,54) versteigert wurde.
