Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Birth by I Dana was auctioned at Christies in Singapore in September 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SGD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SGD 2,585.00 (€ 1,607.71). Other works by I Dana have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2001 by the work Temple Festival at SGD 4,112.50 (€ 2,557.71).
