Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Canal Town in Jiangnan by Huo Genzhong. The price achieved of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 1,128.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huo Genzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Town by the Lakeshore in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,947.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Canal Town in Jiangnan von Huo Genzhong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 1.128,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huo Genzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Town by the Lakeshore im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.947,94).
