Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Proposal for the remodelling of the North front of Norman Court unframed by Humphry Repton. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,698.93). Admittedly, works by Humphry Repton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work North-east view of Norman Court showing a proposal for classical north front and outbuildings in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 13,812.00 (€ 15,406.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Proposal for the remodelling of the North front of Norman Court unframed von Humphry Repton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.698,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Humphry Repton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit North-east view of Norman Court showing a proposal for classical north front and outbuildings im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.812,00 (€ 15.406,23).
