In October 2012 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Islamique provenant de la Villa Aïn Kassimou, Marrakech, which included the work Le Repos Du Gardehugo-Vilfred Pedersen ; The Guard Resting ; Signed Upper Left ; Oil On Canvas by Hugo Vilfred Pedersen. The result of EUR 15,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Vilfred Pedersen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At the Baths, which sold at auction in April 2003 for USD 47,800.00 (€ 38,925.08).

Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Islamique provenant de la Villa Aïn Kassimou, Marrakech durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Repos Du Gardehugo-Vilfred Pedersen ; The Guard Resting ; Signed Upper Left ; Oil On Canvas von Hugo Vilfred Pedersen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00.
