The work The wood chopper by Hugo Simberg was sold in the Important Winter Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2018. It achieved a price of SEK 320,000.00 (€ 31,480.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Simberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Seascape In Moonlight"., which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 66,000.00.

Die Arbeit The wood chopper von Hugo Simberg wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Important Winter Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 320.000,00 (€ 31.480,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo Simberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Seascape In Moonlight". beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 66.000,00 versteigert wurde.
