Auction result well in line with expectations

In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Walnuts In A Wan-Li Porcelain Bowl, A Stoneware Jug, An Orange, A Knife With An Ebony And Ivory Handle And A Roemer, On A Partially Draped Ledge by Hubert van Ravesteyn. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 262,821.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Hubert van Ravesteyn have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2013 the work A Wan-Li Bowl With Walnuts, A Façon De Venise Wine Glass, An Ivory-Handled Knife, A Delft Stoneware Jug And A Rose On A Partially Draped Marble Ledge was auctioned for USD 482,500.00 (€ 355,197.29).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walnuts In A Wan-Li Porcelain Bowl, A Stoneware Jug, An Orange, A Knife With An Ebony And Ivory Handle And A Roemer, On A Partially Draped Ledge von Hubert van Ravesteyn zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 262.821,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
