Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Of Royal and Noble Descent, which included the work Shipping Off A Coastal Town by Hubert Anslow Thornley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,855.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Hubert Anslow Thornley have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2018 the work The Sunset On The Medway; Moonrise, Gillingham On The Medway was auctioned for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,139.89).

Im Januar 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Of Royal and Noble Descent durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping Off A Coastal Town von Hubert Anslow Thornley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.855,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
