In October 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II), which included the work Lover'S Library Series (Set Of Two) Nadja + Peter; Autumn + Jack by Huang Zhiyang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 391,500.00 (€ 34,907.04), 57% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Lover'S Library Series (Set Of Two) Nadja + Peter; Autumn + Jack the most expensive artwork by Huang Zhiyang that we have observed at auctions so far.
