Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Zoon - Beijing Creature No. 7-17 (Diptych) by Huang Zhiyang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,716.37). Other works by Huang Zhiyang have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2007 by the work Lover'S Library Series (Set Of Two) Nadja + Peter; Autumn + Jack at HKD 391,500.00 (€ 34,907.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Zoon - Beijing Creature No. 7-17 (Diptych) von Huang Zhiyang im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.716,37) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Huang Zhiyang wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2007 die Arbeit Lover'S Library Series (Set Of Two) Nadja + Peter; Autumn + Jack mit HKD 391.500,00 (€ 34.907,04).
