In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Running-cursive Script Calligraphy by Huang Siyong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,813.01), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Siyong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running-cursive Script Calligraphy von Huang Siyong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.813,01) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Siyong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70) versteigert wurde.
