Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV, which included the work Blue Green Landscape, 1895 by Huang Shanshou. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,172.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Shanshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tasting Lychee; Xie An And Singers; Playing Qin; Princess Sleeping in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,127,500.00 (€ 122,475.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Green Landscape, 1895 von Huang Shanshou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.172,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Shanshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tasting Lychee; Xie An And Singers; Playing Qin; Princess Sleeping im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.127.500,00 (€ 122.475,73).
