Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Untitled by Huang Po Yong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 1,138.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Po Yong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 31,250.00 (€ 3,297.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled von Huang Po Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 1.138,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Po Yong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 31.250,00 (€ 3.297,37) versteigert wurde.
