This artwork by Huang Dan achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (II) auction, the work Faint Light sold for HKD 161,000.00 (€ 15,278.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Dan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Looking Around, which sold at auction in October 2014 for CNY 375,000.00 (€ 48,962.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Dan erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (II) wurde die Arbeit Faint Light für HKD 161.000,00 (€ 15.278,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Dan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Looking Around beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für CNY 375.000,00 (€ 48.962,49) versteigert wurde.
