Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Eclosion by Huang Dan was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 149,500.00 (€ 13,904.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Dan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Looking Around, which sold at auction in October 2014 for CNY 375,000.00 (€ 48,962.49).

Die Arbeit Eclosion von Huang Dan kam im April 2014 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 149.500,00 (€ 13.904,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Dan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Looking Around beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für CNY 375.000,00 (€ 48.962,49) versteigert wurde.
