The work Landscape, Calligraphy by Hua Yuan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in November 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 84,000.00 (€ 9,339.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hua Yuan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Scholar; Feast sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,083.12).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 84.000,00 (€ 9.339,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hua Yuan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Scholar; Feast im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.083,12).
