Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Noble Scholar Appreciating Bamboo by Hu Zhang for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,043.83). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hu Zhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bird And Cat in April this year with an auction result of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Noble Scholar Appreciating Bamboo von Hu Zhang für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.043,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Zhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bird And Cat im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70).
