A top price for Hu Tiemei
When the work Rock by Hu Tiemei was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,189.76). This high result makes Rock the most expensive artwork by Hu Tiemei that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Hu Tiemei
Als die Arbeit Rock von Hu Tiemei im März 2017 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.189,76) mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Rock zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Hu Tiemei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
