Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work Murrumbidgee country; and An old gum, Port Stephens, New South Wales by Howard Barron. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,530.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Howard Barron have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2006 the work Mullion Cove, Cornwall was auctioned for GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,094.89).
