A top price for Hou Biyi - as previously expected
The work Hermitage by Hou Biyi was sold in the Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 46,000.00 (€ 4,365.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Hermitage is the most expensive artwork by Hou Biyi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Hermitage von Hou Biyi wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 46.000,00 (€ 4.365,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Hermitage das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hou Biyi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
