Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Fish by Hou Biyi. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,884.70). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hou Biyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hermitage, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 46,000.00 (€ 4,365.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish von Hou Biyi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.884,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hou Biyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hermitage beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 46.000,00 (€ 4.365,16) versteigert wurde.
