Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Tourist by Hong Sung Do. It changed hands for a price of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,545.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Other works by Hong Sung Do have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2009 the work Tourist (Book) was auctioned for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,566.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tourist von Hong Sung Do zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.545,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Hong Sung Do konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2009 die Arbeit Tourist (Book) für HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.566,05) versteigert.
